It helps parents compare dated price observations, store availability, price history, and product facts. Perch is not a store, safety authority, medical adviser, or product-certification source. Published data update: 2026-09-15T23:40:59.088Z. All prices are Canadian dollars (CAD). Pages and data files are static; fetching them does not check a retailer or refresh prices. ## Product data for agents - [Product catalogue JSON](https://perchgear.ca/catalogue.json): all tracked products, comparison facts, retailer observations, and check dates; schema version 1 - [Sitemap](https://perchgear.ca/sitemap.xml): canonical product, category, guide, and curated comparison pages The catalogue is a read-only JSON document. It requires no account, API key, JavaScript, or query parameters. Fetch it once per research task, then filter products locally by name, brand, model, or category. Use each product's url to cite the Perch page. The existing /product-cards.json file is for the website interface; use /catalogue.json for documented agent access. The top-level fields are schemaVersion, publishedAtIso, currency, maxObservationAgeHours, and products. Product fields are slug (stable identifier), name, brand, model, category, subcategory, url, comparisonFacts, and observations. Each comparison fact has key, label, and value. Each observation has retailerName, priceCad, availability, checkedAtIso, eligibleAtPublication, validUntilIso, lowestInStockAtPublication, and url. ## How to interpret prices - Prices and availability describe the retailer check at checkedAtIso, not a live quote. Dates are UTC. Include the check date when citing a price. - eligibleAtPublication means the observation passed the site's rules when this update was published. It does not mean the price is current when you read it. - Only use an observation as recent when eligibleAtPublication is true, validUntilIso is present, and the current time is no later than validUntilIso. Observations expire 48 hours after their retailer check. Also treat the whole catalogue as historical once publishedAtIso is more than 48 hours old. - availability is in_stock, out_of_stock, limited, or unknown. Only in_stock confirms stock in the saved observation. Limited and unknown are not confirmed in stock. - lowestInStockAtPublication is a comparison within this published update. Recalculate the lowest price among still-valid in-stock observations if some have since expired. It is not a claim about every Canadian store. - Old, invalid, and unavailable-page observations remain as history, with eligibleAtPublication false, no validUntilIso, and no retailer url. Do not recommend them as current buying options. A null price is unknown, not zero. - Confirm final price, stock, colour, package contents, delivery, and taxes on the retailer's product page before purchase. Perch does not offer checkout or place orders. - Product facts may be qualitative.
